Holiday Gift Shop

Thank you very, very much to all the volunteers who came to make this year's holiday gift shop the smoothest event yet. Thanks to Betsy James, Kelly Kenney, Pat & Shelley Cannon, Lori Jhamb, Amy Herring, Annel Oltof and all the parents who came down with their childrens room. It was great and the kids all had fun. Thanks also to the teachers for working with us on the scheduling.

The Christmas concert on Friday was a great way to wrap up the 2009. Now we can all bake cookies with our cookie dough and wrap up our Lake Hills spirit wear to give as gifts. Looking forward to seeing you all in 2010!

Merry Christmas and peace to you from Northshore PTA.

Thanksgiving Baskets

Our Thanksgiving Basket committee has been working hard to fill many baskets for families from Lake Hills school. Pictures from Autumnfest appeared in the Friday October 9 Grand Haven Tribune, but I was not able to come up with a link as there are only captions to the two pictures and not an article. If you have your Friday Trib still, take a look!

Kids and parents alike had a great time at 2009 Autumnfest. The weather cooperated nicely and the committee put on a great event with yummy hot dogs, cider, donuts, pie, crafts, face painting and much more! We are fortunate to have such a wonderful school family to celebrate with! Thanks to all who attended and helped put on the event ~ including all our generous donors, like Fat Chix Coffee Cantina, Sara Lee and many more!

Autumnfest 2009

It is hard to believe that it is time once again to welcome fall with our Annual Autumnfest family event - hot dogs and hayrides, face painting and family, bookfair and buddies. Please follow the link for more info on this event set for Thursday, Oct. 1 from 5:30-7:30. There is a volunteer sign up sheet at the bottom of this flyer. This event, like all others in our school, requires parent volunteers for success. If you feel you could work one hour of the event and spend the other hour enjoying the event with your family, or perhaps come a little early for set up or stay a little later for clean up, please print the volunteer sheet and respond. Thank you so much for being willing to help. It will be great fun.

Welcome back to all of our returning school families, and welcome to all of our new families! We hope for another great year of learning here at Lake Hills, the most beautiful campus in the district! Our new PTA board is installed, excited and ready to serve. Please follow the link below to the welcome letter from our new President, Tina Hirr. There is very important information regarding opportunities for serving as a committee head or member. This is a great way to stay connected with the school and serve at the same time.

Hi everyone!

Here is a little bulletin board type entry for you:

My son's daycare provider has openings and she resides in the Lake Hills bussing area. If you are in need of daycare or know someone who is, please contact Kim Kamp at 231.798.1095. She is registered with pathways and gives excellent care.

Hopefully this helps someone out there!

Happy New Year!

Welcome back to school!

Thanks to the volunteers who conducted the ever important post-break head-checks. We have an exciting assembly scheduled for this Tuesday at 1:15. Jamie from the Outdoor Discovery Center will be giving a presentation then some Touch Time for the kids and animals. Plans are under way for our annual Sweetheart Dance scheduled for February 12 and order forms went home for Little Caesar's Pizza Kits - these are a very good deal and great to have in the freezer for busy (or lazy!) nights. Our next general meeting is planned for January 15 at 6:30 pm.
Please join us and be a part of the decision making process of Northshore PTA!
